Booking and Payments

Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed once a deposit is received. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the tour start date.

Payment Methods: We accept all major credit cards, bank transfers, and mobile money payments.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by Client: Cancellations made 30 days or more before the tour start date will receive a full refund minus a processing fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days before the tour start date may incur a penalty.

Cancellation by Company: If we cancel the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Refund Policy

No Refunds: No refunds will be made under the following circumstances:

  • Last-minute cancellations made under 7 days before the tour date.
  • No-shows on the day of the experience.

Partial Refunds: Cancellations made 72 hours before the tour date are eligible for a partial refund. In cases of medical emergencies, supported by valid documentation, consideration is given for a partial refund on a case-by-case basis.

Full Refunds: Cancellations made well in advance (1 month before) the experience date. If Maape Adventures significantly alters tour details or cancels a tour, customers can choose between a full refund or an alternative tour offering.

Tours cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or matters referred to as acts of God are not eligible for a refund.

Health and Safety

Vaccinations: Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary vaccinations and health precautions for travel.

Travel Insurance: It is mandatory for all clients to have travel insurance that covers medical expenses, trip cancellations, and personal liability.

Liability

Responsibility: Maape Adventures is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or delay caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, political instability, or transportation issues.

Client Responsibility: Clients are responsible for their personal belongings and must follow the safety instructions provided by our guides.

Changes to Itinerary

Flexibility: Maape Adventures reserves the right to alter the itinerary due to weather conditions, road conditions, or other factors to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the tour.

Client Requests: Any changes requested by the client may incur additional costs and are subject to availability.

Conduct

Behaviour: Clients are expected to behave respectfully towards other guests, guides, and local communities. Any disruptive behaviour may result in termination of the tour without a refund.

Environmental Responsibility: Clients must adhere to environmental guidelines to minimize their impact on wildlife and natural habitats.

Disputes

Resolution: Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be resolved amicably. Such resolutions shall begin immediately after one party has delivered to the other a written request regarding the dispute. If within thirty (30) days following the date on which such notice is given the dispute cannot be resolved, the matter will be settled in accordance with Kenyan law.
